What We Believe

"The church of the living God the pillar and support of the truth"

We Believe …..

The Holy   Scriptures.
The Bible to be the only inspired Word of God and the source of Christian faith and practice.  (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

Nature of God.
The Godhead consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; One eternally, self-existent God revealed  in three Persons (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16, 17; John 1:1-4)

Jesus Christ.
In the Deity of Jesus Christ, His substitutionary work on the cross; His bodily resurrection from the dead; and His exaltation to the right hand of God. (John 1:1,2; Matthew 16:16; Romans 1:4; Ephesians 1:20)

Sinfulness of Man.
Man was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression, sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also became separated from God. (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:5)

Salvation.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone. No amount of good works will produce justification before God. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

The Body of Christ.
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, both universal and local, and is composed of individuals who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.. The mission of the Church is worship, evangelism, discipleship and fellowship. (Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 2:19-22)

Church Ordinances.
The ordinances of the Church: Baptism in water by immersion, and Holy Communion.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to all believers according to Acts 2:4 and 19:6.

Divine Healing.
Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel and is provided in the atonement. (Isaiah 53, Matthew 8:16-17)

The Consummation Of All Things as Revealed In The Scriptures.
In the imminent return of Jesus Christ, the blessed hope of believers. The resurrection of the saved and the lost, the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal punishment.
